EpiAnalyst Campaigns monitor a member population’s risk adjustment data over a certain period of time so our users can make observations about the changes that occur over time. Over the past few months we’ve been doing a complete overhaul of EpiAnalyst Campaigns in order to improve functionality and the quality of the observations that can be made from them.

Data from the EpiSource’s Medical Chart Coding

Episource’s Medical Chart Coding service identifies and submits ICD-10 diagnosis codes for conditions that were previously documented by providers, but were not correctly coded and submitted by any provider in claims. This chart audit closes documentation gaps and ensures the plan gets reimbursed for all a member’s conditions.

As Episource retrieves/codes charts, coding results are now loaded into EpiAnalyst alongside claims. This allows users to specifically track how those captured charts/codes are impacting the RAF opportunities in a campaign. View members/LIDs with the greatest aggregate RAF opportunities, alongside retrieval status, PNP management, etc. Combining two of EpiSource’s products now creates a synergy that will allow our users quicker feedback and an opportunity to act on potential HCC suspects even faster.

Stratify RAF by Source

Users will now be able to view RAF capture from multiple moving sources separately, and drill down campaigns by one of these to monitor program success. The available Sources to filter by are:

  1. Claim - The source is a medical claim submitted by a provider.
  2. MOR - The source is data from a Model Output Report.
  3. Chart Review - The source is a submission from Episource’s Medical Chart Coding service.
  4. Other - The source is none of the above.

We have also added a new Campaign type, the Chart Review Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to monitor and observe a member population and their data that is coming in exclusively from Chart Reviews.

Data by Month (per DOS Year)

Our campaigns will now also allow users to observe data broken down by month for each DOS year. Each campaign collects data for a range of 3 DOS years. You can view the data in each graph by DOS year. The graphs also show the data from launch date to current/end date with a data point for each month in between. Each month’s data point will represent the data, as it were, at the end of that month.

Data for HCCs that don’t have a specific DxCode associated with them, like Disease Interactions, will now be attributed to the date the HCC was reported and loaded into the system.
